About Campion International

Founded in 2023, Campion International grew from one clinic in Mandaue City, Cebu into a seven-region platform delivering therapy, training, staffing, and access for families who deserve better.

Where it began

A worry that became a mission.

Campion International was born on April 15, 2023, in Mandaue City, Cebu — founded by Mike Abu Samra and Michelle Kashani, OTR/L, with one clear belief: that families navigating autism and developmental challenges in the Philippines deserved far better than what was available to them. Access to quality, evidence-based therapy was limited to those in major cities with the means to pay for it. The trained professionals to deliver that therapy were even harder to find.

What began as Campion ABA Inc. was never just a therapy clinic. From the very first day, the founders built it to be two things at once: a place where children receive life-changing support, and a training ground that multiplies that impact by producing more qualified practitioners. Every child helped matters. Every practitioner trained means dozens more children helped over a career.

"We cure worry — not just for the families we serve, but for every professional who asks: am I doing this right? And every child who simply needs someone to believe in them."

— Mike Abu Samra, CEO & Co-Founder

The tagline "We Cure Worry" wasn't a marketing decision. It was a mission statement. Because the families who walk through Campion's doors — or connect with us online, or find one of our trained practitioners in their province — are carrying a weight that most people never fully see. Campion was built to lift that weight.

The journey

Three years. Seven regions. One mission.

April 2023 — Day One

Campion ABA Inc. opens in Mandaue City, Cebu

Co-founders Mike Abu Samra and Michelle Kashani, OTR/L, launch Campion ABA Inc. in Mandaue City with a dual mandate: deliver evidence-based ABA therapy to children with developmental needs, and train the next generation of Filipino behavior practitioners. The center opens offering home-based and center-based ABA therapy, early intervention, and caregiver support.

2023 — Building the Foundation

QABA accreditation secured · Certification programs launch

Campion becomes a QABA-accredited training provider — one of the only organizations in the Philippines with this internationally recognized credential. Three certification levels are established: Level 1 ABAT (Applied Behavior Analysis Technician), Level 2 QASP-S (Qualified ABA Supervisor), and Level 3 QBA (Qualified Behavior Analyst). Campion graduates hold credentials recognized not just in the Philippines, but globally.

Teletherapy services are introduced, extending Campion's reach beyond Cebu to families in provinces with no local access to ABA professionals.

2023–2024 — Growing the Reach

Non-profit registration · 7-region expansion · Foundation established

Campion transitions to a non-profit structure, registering a US 501(c)(3) arm — Campion International Foundation — and a licensed Philippine NGO. This dual registration allows Campion to accept tax-deductible donations from US-based donors and to formally channel funding into two programs: therapy subsidies for low-income families and practitioner scholarships.

Services expand across seven regions of the Philippines, with a growing waitlist of students enrolling in the Academy's certification programs. The Optimus Education partnership is established to deliver coursework, combining Campion's clinical standards with a structured online learning platform through Thinkific.

2024 — Systems & Scale

Franchise model launched · First franchisee signed

Recognizing that Campion's impact could multiply far beyond what a single organization could staff and operate, the team develops a full franchise system — building the protocols, training manuals, operational standards, and legal framework that would allow purpose-driven entrepreneurs and ABA professionals to open certified Campion centers in their own cities.

The first franchise agreement is signed with Sir Rey Casiano, marking a landmark moment: proof that the Campion model was replicable, scalable, and desirable. Each franchise territory is exclusive, with franchisees receiving full pre-opening training, clinical oversight, and ongoing mentorship from the Campion team.

2024–2025 — Community & Advocacy

LGU partnerships · Referral network · Donation campaigns

Campion begins formal engagement with Local Government Units, developing a structured LGU Partnership Proposal offering three programs: free developmental screenings and assessments, subsidized ABAT certification scholarships, and government-sponsored ABA center development. The Cebu Provincial Governor's office becomes a key engagement target, with meetings held with senior health officials.

A structured referral partner network (MOA-based) is established for both external partners and franchisees, formalizing commission structures and creating a sustainable pipeline for program enrollment. The Campion Foundation's first donation campaign goes live, led by real family stories.

2025–2026 — Professionalizing the Organization

Global HR · New website · Staffing services · International reach

Campion hires its first dedicated Global HR and Recruitment professional, formalizing its people infrastructure and building a training pipeline that recruits promising candidates, trains them, and connects them with placement opportunities locally and internationally. The staffing service is officially launched — providing verified, ABAT-credentialed behavior technicians and shadow teachers to schools, clinics, and families across the Philippines.

A brand-new website launches, reflecting the organization's growth into a full-service platform: therapy, training, staffing, franchising, partnerships, and philanthropy — all under one roof. Events expand too, with Campion producing multi-day professional development events like the SpeachGear conference in Cebu.

What drives us

Four principles. Every decision.

01

Evidence first

Applied Behavior Analysis is not an opinion — it's one of the most rigorously studied interventions in developmental science. We apply it exactly as the evidence demands: with data, structure, and accountability.

02

Access is non-negotiable

Geography and income should never determine whether a child gets support. Our teletherapy, foundation scholarships, and LGU partnerships exist because equity isn't a goal — it's a responsibility.

03

Multiply the impact

One practitioner trained becomes dozens of children supported over a career. We invest in building the workforce because the best way to serve more families is to create more qualified people who can.

04

Family is the team

We don't treat children while parents wait in the lobby. We coach caregivers, educate families, and build the kind of home environment where therapy progress becomes daily life progress.

Where we're going

The story isn't finished.

In just over three years, Campion International has gone from a single center in Mandaue City to a platform operating across seven Philippine regions — with certified programs recognized internationally, a franchise network in its early growth phase, a foundation funding access for those who need it most, and a staffing pipeline connecting qualified practitioners with the organizations that need them.

But the numbers that matter most aren't the ones above. They're the children who made their first eye contact, said their first word, joined a classroom for the first time. The parents who exhaled. The practitioners who discovered a calling. The families who stopped worrying.

Every province we reach, every LGU we partner with, every scholarship we fund, every franchise we open — it's all in service of a single belief: every Filipino child deserves the chance to thrive, and every family that loves them deserves to stop worrying.

"We are not done. We are just getting started."
